This fall, Mason begins his fourth season with the Jets. In his role, Mason directs the Jets’ communications, business operatives, and internship program, in addition to working closely with sponsors, ticket sales, and game night operations. In addition, he serves as the Jets’ away broadcaster on HockeyTV.com.

In 2016, Mason helped the Jets climb to new heights in corporate partnerships and attendance. Mason was also a pivotal part of a 2014-15 front office which set a franchise record in overall ticket revenue.

Mason earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of North Carolina Greensboro in 2014 before joining the Jets. Mason lives in Janesville with his girlfriend, Erin, their dog, Beckham, and cat, Rigby. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Janesville Convention & Visitors Bureau, and in his free time, he enjoys reading, cycling, and board games.

 

Mel Cushing

After an incredibly successful sales career at WCLO/WJVL, Mel joined the Jets in March of 2016. Mel’s wealth of talents immediately improved the Jets’ connections to corporate partners in the South Central Wisconsin community.

Mel will continue to serve the Jets in his role of corporate communications, partner relations, and sponsorship sales into the 2016-17 season, primarily by connecting businesses and individuals who support Jets hockey to the product: the players, the coaches, and the fans.
In his free time, Mel enjoys physical fitness and attending sporting events.
 

Kevin Meegan

This fall, Kevin begins his third season with the Janesville Jets organization. Like Mason, Kevin started as an intern in the 2014-15 season. His expanded role sees him directing group ticket sales, sales interns, marketing and promotional initiatives, and community events. Kevin also serves as team liaison to Janesville Youth Hockey.

As an Operations intern during the 2014-15 season, Kevin coordinated game night entertainment aspects, including anthem singers, flag boys and girls, volunteer bartenders, and contest participants.  Kevin also served a key role as a part of the 2014-15 front office which set a franchise record in overall ticket revenue.

Kevin earned his Bachelor of Science in Recreation, Parks & Tourism Administration from Western Illinois University in 2014. His passions include youth hockey, youth development, and event management.

Emily Polglaze

Media Intern

Emily joined the Jets in June 2017, and serves as a Media Intern. In this role, Emily will focus on content creation for the Jets’ website and social media channels.

Emily graduated from the University of Minnesota in May 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism & Mass Communication.

 
Rob Bell

Account Executive Intern

Rob joined the Jets in October 2017 and serves as an Account Executive Intern. In this role, Rob works closely with Kevin in fan development, connecting with families, businesses, and social groups to create lifelong fans.

Rob is a student at UW-Whitewater, where he majors in Public Relations. In his free time, he enjoys attending music festivals, traveling across the country, and spending time with his dog, Jordy.

 
Emily Curley

Graphic Design Intern

Emily joined the Jets in October 2017. As a Graphic Design Intern, Emily focuses on content creation and the Jets’ digital presence on social media platforms and the official team website.

Emily will graduate from UW-Whitewater in spring 2018 with degrees in Graphic Design and Advertising. Emily plays lacrosse for the Warhawks, and spends her free time painting, swimming, and walking her dog.

 
Ruth Lenzen

Communications Intern

Ruth joined the Jets in February 2018. As a Communications intern, Ruth focuses on website development and social media management, serving ancillary roles in marketing and community relations.

Ruth will graduate from UW-Whitewater in the spring of 2018 with a degree in Public Relations and a minor in Advertising. In her free times, Ruth likes to play soccer, attend concerts, and play with her dog.
