The Janesville Jets are proud to announce the recent hire of Shelley Schmidt, who will join the Jets as Team Photographer. In this role, Shelley will shoot home games at the Janesville Ice Arena and select team events.
“I am excited to be joining the Jets staff as the Team Photographer, as it will provide me an opportunity to expand my abilities as a photographer while promoting the team members while playing in the NAHL,” Schmidt said.
Shelley began her photography career in 2014. She enjoys taking photos of newborns, children, seniors, families, and weddings, as well as sport and action photos.
Before becoming the team’s photographer, Shelley and her family hosted alternate captain Jeff Alderfer during the 2015-16 season.

“Being a billet family was a rewarding experience,” she said. “It provided insight into the life of a player, to learn what it’s like for them to be away from their family while chasing their dream. Jeff was with us for the last season he was eligible to play in the NAHL. Due to our children’s increasingly busy schedules we continue to support the team as season ticket holders. Our family has enjoyed being part of the Jets fan community and the relationships that have developed through the rink.”
