LAST WEEKEND: A pair of wins over the Kenai River Brown Bears and the Coulee Region Chill helped the Jets mount another little win streak after taking an overtime loss from the Fairbanks Ice Dogs the week before. The Jets beat Kenai River 6-2 on Friday, and followed up with a 3-1 win on Saturday over Coulee Region, sewing up wins number 12 and 13 in a 17-game stretch dating back to the last time these two teams played.

Carter Ekberg’s four assists on the weekend earned him the NAHL’s Bauer Midwest Division Star of the Week honors, announced Tuesday. On Wednesday, he followed that up with his D-I commitment to Air Force Academy.

TONIGHT: The Jets hit the long, snowy road northwest to Cloquet, Minnesota, where their former division rivals, the Minnesota Wilderness, host a two-game series. Head coach Tim Madsen’s group swept the Jets in a pair of games following Thanksgiving. Janesville has come a long way since that series, but they remember it well and will look to dish out some revenge tonight in game #40 of the 60-game regular season slate.
