JANESVILLE, WI – The North American Hockey League (NAHL) announced Wednesday the game schedules for all 24 member clubs for the 16th annual NAHL Showcase Tournament, to be held from September 19-22, 2018, at the Schwan Super Rink in Blaine, Minnesota. All games will be broadcast live in HD on HockeyTV.com, official internet broadcast partner of the NAHL.
The NAHL Showcase attracts over 9,000 people in overall attendance, including more than 350 professional, college, and junior scouts. The Jets will open the league Showcase schedule against the last two Robertson Cup champions.

Wednesday afternoon features a rematch of the 2017 Robertson Cup Semi-Finals series. The Jets play the 2017 champions, the Lone Star Brahmas, at 2:00pm. The teams previously met in Blaine at the 2014 Showcase, where Janesville bested Lone Star, 4-1.

At 7:30pm Thursday evening, the Jets play the defending champions, the Shreveport Mudbugs, also from the South Division. Janesville and Shreveport met at the 2016 Showcase,  where the Jets won a wild 6-5 contest with six goals scored in the third period.

Friday afternoon at 1:00pm, the Jets will play the Central Division’s Aberdeen Wings. The 2016-17 Central Division Playoff Champions shut out the Jets, 1-0, in the clubs’ most recent Showcase meeting in September 2015.

The Jets’ Showcase schedule concludes Saturday afternoon with a 12:30pm matinee versus the Bismarck Bobcats. The 2014 Showcase Tournament saw the Bobcats take a 4-1 decision over the Jets.

Since their inception in 2009, the Jets hold a 21-13-1 record in NAHL Showcase games. Janesville went 3-1 in last year’s event, defeating the Kenai River Brown Bears, the Johnstown Tomahawks, and the Minot Minotauros, and losing a close 2-1 contest to the Odessa Jackalopes.
