President, Founder, & Managing Partner
In 2008, Bill McCoshen and six others came together as Wisconsin Hockey Partners, LLC, and founded the Janesville Jets. From Day One, Bill has served as the organization’s President and Managing Partner.
Bill serves the NAHL on the Executive Committee as Chairman of the Board.
In 2016, Bill was inducted into the Wisconsin Hockey Hall of Fame. His achievements and contributions to the state’s hockey communities include back-to-back state championships (1981 & 1982) as a defenseman for Superior Senior High School, leadership as President of the Southwest (Verona) Hockey Association, founding of the Kohlman Cup Peewee Tournament, and co-founding the Wisconsin Elite Hockey League (WEHL).
Vice President of Business Development & Operations
Mason has more than five years’ experience leading the Jets in all off-ice functions. In his role, Mason leads the Jets’ business operations team, and directly manages the Jets’ corporate, public, and media relations. Mason works closely with Mel Cushing on all tasks related to the Jets’ sponsors and community partners, and alongside Kennedy McNeil, oversees the Jets’ game night operations, promotions, and ticket sales.
Mason joined the Jets as an intern in fall 2014, and since has helped the team repeatedly break records in corporate partnerships, season ticket memberships, and attendance.
Mason grew up in Apex, North Carolina. He attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in English. He lives in Janesville with his girlfriend, Erin, their cat, Rigby, and their dog, Bosco. Mason has served on the Board of Directors for the Janesville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau since 2018, and enjoys cycling, craft beer, board games, and watching hockey in his free time.
Vice President of Partner Relations & Sales
After an incredibly successful sales career at WCLO/WJVL, Mel joined the Jets in March of 2016. Mel’s wealth of talents immediately improved the Jets’ connections to corporate partners in the South Central Wisconsin community.
Mel will continue to serve the Jets in his role of corporate communications, partner relations, and sponsorship sales into the 2020-21 season, primarily by connecting businesses and individuals who support Jets hockey to the product: the players, the coaches, and the fans.
In his free time, Mel enjoys physical fitness and attending sporting events.
Director of Fan Development & Game Operations
Kennedy joined the Jets in February 2020. As Director of Fan Development & Game Operations, Kennedy will lead the team’s Season Ticket Memberships, group ticket sales, community involvement, and game night operations. Kennedy will also oversee sales interns, assist with marketing and promotional initiatives, and serve as team liaison to Janesville Youth Hockey.
Kennedy grew up in Crystal Lake, Illinois. She graduated UW-Whitewater in 2018 with her Bachelor of Business Administration in General Business, and minors in Spanish and Coaching. Kennedy then went on to pursue a Master of Science Education in Athletic Administration and Leadership.
She was a student-athlete throughout college and now enjoys playing volleyball in recreational leagues. Kennedy also enjoys going to the gym, attending concerts, and spending time with her family and friends at her family’s house on Rice Lake in Whitewater. Kennedy lives in Whitewater with her boyfriend, Dalton, and dog, Navy.
Emily re-joined the Jets in November 2020 as Content Coordinator. In this role, Emily schedules and produces web and social media content for the organization.
Emily is from Beloit, Wisconsin, and served the Jets previously as Multimedia and Communications Intern during the 2017-18 season. Emily earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Minnesota in 2017, and in 2020 earned her Master of Arts in Strategic Communication also from the University of Minnesota.
Game Night Operations Assistant
Taylor started with the Jets in the 2017-18 season as an intern. As Game Night Operations Assistant, Taylor manages fan relations at every Jets home game. Fans can find Taylor working at the merchandise and information table, helping groups locate their seats, and finding participants for the Jets’ various in-game contests. Taylor is the Swiss Army knife of the Jets’ game night operations staff.
Taylor is a student at Blackhawk Technical College. Taylor lives in Janesville with his wife, Alii, and young daughters, Noel and Presley.
