Bill McCoshen

President, Founder, & Managing Partner

In 2008, Bill McCoshen and six others came together as Wisconsin Hockey Partners, LLC, and founded the Janesville Jets. From Day One, Bill has served as the organization’s President and Managing Partner.

Bill serves the NAHL on the Executive Committee as Chairman of the Board.

In 2016, Bill was inducted into the Wisconsin Hockey Hall of Fame. His achievements and contributions to the state’s hockey communities include back-to-back state championships (1981 & 1982) as a defenseman for Superior Senior High School, leadership as President of the Southwest (Verona) Hockey Association, founding of the Kohlman Cup Peewee Tournament, and co-founding the Wisconsin Elite Hockey League (WEHL).

Brad Stepan

Brad joined the Jets’ front office just as the 2022 season began. Brad will lead off-ice functions of the Janesville Jets with an emphasis on sponsors.

Brad played professional hockey with the Denver Rangers of the International Hockey League in 1988-89, and the Windsor Compuware Spitfires and Soo Greyhounds in the OHL before then. After his playing career, Brad joined the NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning as a scout in 2008 before pivoting to coaching in 2012 when he became the head coach for Rosemount High in Minnesota. Brad coached there for five years until he came on as the HC for the Chippewa Falls Steel 16U AAA team in 2020. Brad became a scout for the NAHL’s Chippewa Steel later that year. He was promoted to the Director of Hockey Operations in 2021 and ultimately moved on to Team President to finish the year.

Kennedy Heckel

Kennedy has been with the Jets since 2020, as the Director of Fan Development and Game Operations. She is now heading all community partnerships, game nights, events and marketing. 

She attended UW-Whitewater from 2014-2019 where she was a NCAA volleyball player. She obtained her Bachelor’s of Business Administration as well as her Masters in High Education Athletic Administration. She now lives in Whitewater with her husband, Dalton, and her dog, Navy. 


Anna Van Hercke

Social Media, Marketing & Game Night Operations Intern

Anna joins the Jets for the 2023-24 season as our Social Media, Marketing & Game Night Operations Intern.

Originally from Castle Rock, Colorado, she is currently a student at Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon. Majoring in both Sports Management and Marketing, and minoring in Communications. She is a fifth-year goaltender for the NCAA Women’s Hockey Team and is also an Assistant Captain. Prior to the Jets, Anna has spent the past two summers as a Hockey Development Intern for USA Hockey in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Working closely with both the Boys and Girls Player Development Camps. While working for the Jets, she is also the Student Director of Social Media for CUW Athletics, overseeing all media content.


Spencer Brochtrup
Social Media, Marketing & Game Night Operations Intern
Spencer is in his first season with the Jets as our Social Media, Marketing & Game Night Operations Intern.
He is from Mukwonago, Wisconsin and is currently attending UW-Whitewater as a current senior. He is majoring in Marketing with a Business Administration emphasis. Before working with the Jets, Spencer worked as a Social Media Marketing intern for the Milwaukee Milkmen in Franklin, Wisconsin out of the American Association Baseball League. He has lots of experience is sports operations and communication with teams, players, and fans.
