JANESVILLE JETS ON A WINNING HOT-STREAK;

HOME GAMES THIS WEEKEND WITH NUMEROUS PROMOTIONAL TIE-INS

The Janesville Jets have won five out of the last seven games, with both losses during that time period occurring in overtime games.  As such, the Jets secured 12 out of 14 possible points in those 7 games.

This past weekend on the road the Jets swept intra-state rival the Coulee Region Chill to retain the promotional Traveling Milk Can Cup.  Friday night the Jets won 3-1 and on Saturday they played equally tough and held on to win 3-2.

Jets goaltender Brock Kautz was hot in goal, only allowing one late third period goal on 28 shots in Friday night's victory and stopping 43 out of 45 shots Saturday.  Kautz currently is sixth overall in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) save percentage category with an impressive .924%.

The Jets now have a record of 12-12-5, good for 29 total points in 29 games so far.  The Jets winning hot streak has moved the team into fifth place out of 8 teams in the NAHL North Division.

Head Coach Joe Dibble and the players are ready to continue their winning ways this weekend as the Jets host the Sault Ste. Marie Soo Eagles on Friday and Saturday nights.  Both games start at 7 PM with the box office open at 5:45 PM.

There will be many promotional ticket and cause-related tie-ins at the upcoming Jets games.

Friday night is Crime Stoppers Night and all law enforcement personnel will get in for only $5 each.  Alliant Energy will be handing out promotional giveaways to the first 500 attendees Friday night.

On both Friday and Saturday, the Jets organization is hosting an ECHO "Feed the Need" food drive, sponsored by NightOutRock.com.  Fans bringing in two nonperishable food items will receive admission for only $5 per game.

On Saturday night, Minuteman Press and the Jets are hosting a benefit for the family of Max Wells.  A Minuteman Press employee and long-time radio personality using the on-air name of Austin Ryggs, Max recently lost his battle with cancer.   At Saturday's game, donations will be accepted and there also will be a 50/50 raffle supporting the Wells Family Benefit.  Minuteman Press of Janesville owner Todd Duckworth will generously be matching all donations from the fund-raiser.

Max's book about his journey with cancer entitled "Love, Laughter and Sharks" will also be on sale.

LocalVisionTV.com is the overall weekend media sponsor and promotional partner.

Additionally, at both games, the Jets are hosting a silent auction.  Up on the silent auction block will be Jets co-owner and NHL star Joe Pavelski's stick autographed by the entire 2011-12 San Jose Sharks hockey team.  The winning bid will be announced during the third period of the Saturday, December 15th game.  Other items include autographed sticks, pucks and program books from the Janesville Jets players.
