Jets and M3 Insurance Saluting Service Next Weekend

JANESVILLE, WI — The Janesville Jets have finalized details for their seventh annual Salute to Service weekend, February 3rd and 4th, versus the Fairbanks Ice Dogs. All veterans and active service members are invited to join us along with their families, free of charge. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and puck drop will be at 7 p.m.

The Jets will be in partnership with M3 Insurance once again for the annual event. The two organizations share a common goal of honoring veterans and active members of service. The Jets will wear a specialty camo in tribute to the event. The jerseys will be auctioned during intermission and after both games, with proceeds benefiting local organizations Vets Roll and Housing 4 Our Vets.

“We are excited to be partnering with M3 Insurance once again to honor veterans and active military members through supporting local businesses,” said Brad Stepan, Jets Vice president. “Our mission as the Janesville Jets is to actively give back to our community, and what better way than to give back to organizations that support men and women that have served our country.”

Promotions will lead up to the event, including local and regional media attention. The team also participates in promotional and educational events in preparation for the Salute to Service night. In the past, the team has attended Truax Field to learn about what goes on at the base and how vital a role the men and women of the 115th Fighter Wing play in protecting our country. There will also be updates about the Janesville Jets participating in promotional events for Salute to Service night posted on the Jets’ media platforms Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

”We are honored to be part of the Salute to Service weekend,” said Brad Winchester, account executive at M3 Insurance. “All of us have family, friends, and co-workers who have served, and we deeply appreciate everything they’ve done.”

Other weekend features include ceremonial puck drops, presenting of colors, and multiple recognitions of veterans and active duty military members in attendance.

Fans looking to attend the game can purchase tickets on our Facebook page, at the door on game night, or any Lions Quick Mart around town.
