JANESVILLE, WI – The Janesville Jets, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), have signed forward Brody Lucas to a tender contract, securing his NAHL rights for the 2020-21 season.
A tender is a contract a team offers a prospect to reserve his rights for the upcoming NAHL season. When a player signs a tender, his rights belong to that team within the NAHL, and he may not be recruited or drafted by any other member club. Each team is granted 10 tenders, which became active on November 1, and which they can either use on a prospect or trade to another NAHL club.
Lucas (5-11/161) played more than 70 games with the Northstar Christian Academy Knights this season, 16 of which were in the NAPHL 18U program. In those contests, he scored four goals and added nine assists for 13 points. Lucas was also a top scorer in the midget season, lighting the lamp 15 times and picking up 32 assists. The Mankato, Minnesota, native also has experience with the 16U Madison Capitols.
“I’m excited to tender with such a great organization,” Lucas said.
“Brody is a talented forward that will bring speed and skill to the Jets’ lineup next year. He had a tremendous PHL season this year and we’re excited to see him in a Jets uniform next year.” — Jets head coach Corey Leivermann
